Rotary Club Himalayan Ranges Mansa Devi and Rotaract Club Chandigarh Himalayan thrive extensively in the present-day scenario by adopting the policy of giving back to the society. The team members of this Rotary-Rotaract fraternity ensures that what they give out to the people is always for their good. That is why they strives every single day to bring forward such initiatives and projects that uplift the damaged souls suffering from the wrath of economic and social dilemmas. In the present day too, the Clubs have carried their legacy forward by starting numerous projects to quench the thirst and satiate the beautiful souls living on this Earth, one such outstanding project being ‘KIDO : Kids olympics’ which is a sports extravaganza and a talent organized for the orphans which give them a moment of joy and explore their talent every year. This year, we conducted 10th season of the event successfully.
‘Choti si Khwaish’, another beautiful initiative introduced 3 years ago by Rtn. Gaurav Ghai, is an event meant to fulfill the wishes of the young girls residing in the orphanages. Through this project, both of the clubs ensure absolute happiness for the budding young ladies of our society. We have collaborated with our parent Rotary on many such events, and we will continue to work together for the betterment of society.

District 3080

District 3080

In 1984, nearly 1200 people, with fire in their eyes to make a change in the society were inspired by the mission of Rotary International – “Fellowship through Service”, joined hands under the Rotary umbrella and formed the Rotary International District 3080 with a vision of “Service above Self”. Its purpose is the betterment of community along with the social and professional development of youth and to nurture the leaders within the young generation who will serve the society.
Mr. Rajendra K. Saboo, a well renowned personality of RID 3080, worked as the Director of Rotary International for the tenure 1981-83, and worked as a Trustee of Rotary Foundation for the period of 6 years from 1992-98. For his humility, dedication and selfless service, he is one of the greatest inspirations for Rotaractors.
In its path to progress, Rtn. Vikram Chawla was the first DRR of the District 3080. In the tenure 2010-11, Rtr. Neha Chopra became the first female DRR. After that, females in this position were viewed quite often, representing the ideology of women empowerment. Rtr. Jasmeet Negi, for the tenure 2013-14, became the 2nd female DRR. Further Rtr. Yashika Sagar became the 3rd female DRR from 2017-18 and Rtr. Ishita Kaith, IPDRR, the 4th female DRR, held the position and also served selflessly. How do we function

How do we function
The working and functioning of RCCH is staggering. The hierarchy system in different events and projects is breathtaking.
Since our club has a large member base, we have our own structure for the smooth functioning of the club. We function through our projects, committees and events. Events are one time affairs that happen once in tenure, or may be more than that but for a limited number of time such as Salsa Slam is one of our flagship event and a major fund-raiser which takes place in the month of February every year whereas our Projects runs throughout the tenure like ‘Apni paathshala’ under which we teach underprivileged students on regular basis. Coming to our Committees, these  teams help our activities in various aspects like ‘Public Relation’ covers the media coverage, ‘Canvas’ helps with the decoration, ‘Marketing’ gets sponsorships etc.
Our structure is based on three pillars : Member Based, Project-Committee & Events.  The board is of the utmost germane of the club. It consists of members who foresee and plan the working of the club in an untroubled way. For the tenure 2020-21, Rtr. Muskan Gandhi is our honourable President. The whole member base is divided into teams of few members under a ‘Team Leader’. Few such teams combined falls under a ‘Team Coordinator’ and such team coordinators are mentored by a Board Member. Coming to the Project-Committee Hierarchy, each P/C is a group of members who wanted to work for a dedicated goal is lead by a sub-head(s) and head(s) and they are further mentored by a Board Member. For the Events, a dedicated team of 10-12 members get to head the event after going through a rigorous process of form filling & an interview which is lead by a leader(s) called as ‘Super-head’ and this superhead-eventhead team is guided by a Chairperson from the board.
Having that mentioned, dedicated teams are responsible for the planning and execution of the work but any and every member of the club can contribute anytime. It is the hard work and strenuous of the members and the magnificent hierarchy adopted responsible for the smooth functioning of the organization .
